Accelerated Training Programme Celebrates Student Success

Last week, the Save Construction Initiative (SCI) celebrated another important milestone in its Accelerated Training Programme, as learners received their certificates and prepared to take the next step towards careers in the construction industry.

Delivered in partnership with F&T Terrix, the programme equips participants with practical skills, industry knowledge and the confidence needed to begin their careers in construction.

While the certificate presentation marked the end of the training, the real objective is creating long-term employment opportunities. The programme has demonstrated the impact that can be achieved when industry, education providers and local authorities work together to address skills shortages and invest in the next generation of construction professionals.

“The success of this programme shows what’s possible when organisations work together with a shared purpose. It’s a model that can be replicated in towns and cities across the country, creating opportunities for young people while strengthening the future of our industry.” – Zoe Brooke, Co-CEO, Save Construction Initiative

Encouragingly, employers have already begun interviewing candidates from the programme, providing an early example of how employer engagement can help turn training into meaningful careers.

SCI is now encouraging contractors, subcontractors and employers across the sector to get involved by offering opportunities to this talented group of emerging tradespeople. With demand for skilled workers continuing to grow, the programme presents an opportunity for businesses to access motivated individuals who are ready to learn, develop and contribute to the industry.

Employers interested in connecting with graduates of the Accelerator Training Programme are encouraged to contact the Save Construction Initiative or F&T Terrix to find out how they can support the next generation of construction talent.
