UKREiiF Round-Up: Skills, Opportunity and Social Value in Action

Three weeks on from our UKREiiF Round-Up Event at Haydock Park Racecourse, we’ve been looking back at some of the conversations, connections, and moments that made the day so special.

What stood out wasn’t just the quality of discussion, but the willingness of people from across local government, construction, education, and industry to come together around a shared challenge: how we create a stronger, more resilient future for our sector.

Throughout the day, discussions repeatedly returned to two themes, skills and people.

From local authority leaders and contractors to training providers and industry experts, there was a clear recognition that the future of construction depends on investing in people, creating opportunities, and building genuine pathways into employment.

One of the most powerful aspects of the event was seeing the young people involved in the Accelerator Training Programme engaging with industry professionals, sharing their experiences, and demonstrating what can be achieved when organisations work together with a common purpose.

Today, we’re also celebrating the achievements of participants from the SCI & F&T-Terrix Accelerated Training Programme and showcasing the positive impact of industry-led training, collaboration, and employment pathways within the construction sector. 👷

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, contributed to the discussions, shared their insights, and helped make the event such a success.
