We’re proud to announce the Strategic Launch of SCI North Wales, a major milestone in our mission to strengthen regional collaboration and unlock new opportunities across the construction sector.
This strategic launch will be led by SCI’s Dr Tim Whitehill and Tania Knowles, and builds directly on the momentum of our July roundtable at Wrexham University, where over 20 industry leaders—including contractors, consultants, local authorities, and educators—came together to shape a shared vision for the future of construction in North Wales.
Key themes from the July roundtable included:
- Visibility and access to public sector pipelines
- Challenges facing SMEs in procurement frameworks
- Skills shortages and retention barriers
- Performance risks linked to planning, contracts, and infrastructure

This strategic launch will mark the next phase in establishing the SCI Club North Wales, with the aim of developing a 3–5 year outlook focused on improving transparency, strengthening local supply chains, and driving joined-up leadership across the region.
